PROBLEM:
Mizu had a strong, high-energy dining experience and performed well during peak times such as weekends, holidays, and special occasions. However, weekday traffic remained inconsistent, with limited positioning around everyday dining. The brand was largely associated with celebrations, making it harder to drive steady, repeat visits during off-peak days.
Additionally, social media had not been fully utilized as a growth channel. With traditional efforts not significantly improving weekday traffic, the team approached social as an opportunity to test a new direction, but lacked a clear strategy on how to translate their in-person experience into consistent, demand-driving content.
SOLUTION:
We expanded the positioning beyond occasion-based dining, shifting the narrative to make Mizu a go-to spot for everyday experiences. Alongside showcasing the high-energy hibachi atmosphere, we introduced a βno occasion neededβ messaging approachβencouraging guests to treat themselves casually, not just for events. Creative direction was built around weekday-focused content, highlighting happy hours, special offers, and more relaxed dining moments. A key part of the strategy was constant testing and performance tracking to identify what messaging resonated most with their audience. We tested multiple angles, including value-driven offers, exclusivity, and experience-led content, refining the approach based on real-time performance. This allowed us to develop a highly effective, data-backed strategy that significantly increased weekday traffic and positioned Mizu as a consistent dining option beyond just peak occasions.

Content was structured into clear, intentional buckets, each serving a specific role in the growth strategy. Some were designed to attract new audiences and drive reach, others focused on building credibility and trust through real work and results, while additional formats positioned the brand as knowledgeable, reliable, and consistent. This created a balanced ecosystem where visibility, trust, and conversion all worked together.
RESULTS
We repositioned Mizu beyond occasion-based dining into a more consistent, experience-driven brand through refined creative direction, seasonal campaigns, and monthly on-site shoots with models.
